Etsy find of the week!
As an Etsy shop owner and loyal customer, I thought I would share some of my great Etsy finds each week…and for those of you that don’t know what Etsy is then you need to go here.

Funky recycled suitcase seating
Have you ever sat on your suitcase after a long wait at the airport? Well, that idea was taken literately with these eco-friendly recycled suitcase seats. Stenciled Stairs!
I’m officially convinced that paint is the answer to everything. I had seen this image awhile back, pre-blog, and just came across it again and HAD to share. Check out these beautifully stenciled stairs in the below image done by artist Melanie Royals for Maryam of My Marrakesh fame. In a search I came across this cute little French company called Garbage. Old kitchen and house hold appliances are put to new use by adding lighting and a decorative touch creating uniquely crafted masterpieces. Many of these ideas could be applied to some of your own antique or flea market finds. Visit the company’s site for more ideas.



Backsplashes that will catch any eye.
So what’s “in” on backsplashes…. bold and trendy. It’s the most useful decoration in the kitchen, protecting the wall from spitter splatters while managing to look pretty the whole time. Sometimes all a kitchen needs is a fresh new splash. Here are some of my favorites….

Five fun headboard ideas!
Are you looking for a quick inexpensive update fix for your bedroom??? Then here are some DIY headboard ideas for you…
1. This inspirational look by Domino can be achieved two ways…. 1.giving an old headboard a new look with a stencil or free hand design. 2. Cut out your own design in some plywood, add a paint color and stencil of your choice.

2. Do you have any weathered shutters??? Then you can have this Better Homes and Garden look for free.
3. Another Better homes and garden look has a fun and youthful fabrication idea.

4. PointandClick did this beautiful wood framed fabric application that would add a special touch to any room.

5. Another Domino fav… painting a faux headboard right on your wall using a color a few shades lighter than the wall color…easy and creative.
